Mortgage Advisers at The Lending Pad Limited
All our Mortgage Advisers specialise in providing advice on mortgage related products only. You can check that your adviser is a Mortgage Adviser at www.fspr.govt.nz . The Financial Markets Authority regulates financial advisers. Contact the Financial Markets Authority for more information, including financial tips and warnings.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
Each Mortgage Adviser has $2million of Professional Indemnity (PI) cover with a maximum cover of $1million per claim. This is to provide protection for customers from financial loss due to fraud, gross misrepresentation, gross negligence, etc. (by the Mortgage Adviser).
Adviser Experience
All of the advisers have a wide range of experience, when you meet your adviser, they will go through a personal disclosure document with you to fully explain their professional background to provide assurance they are well equipped to provide you with mortgage advice.
Privacy
All communications and information provided are subject to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Upon request, this allows you access to any information held about you in your file. The Lending Pad treats privacy very seriously. We do not share your information with any other party without your approval. All mortgage paperwork is destroyed after 7 years.
How does the Mortgage Adviser get paid?
The Lending Pad is paid by the ‘Loan Provider’ commission in the form of a lump sum payment and some financial institutions provide an ongoing commission paid monthly or quarterly as well. Both of these figures are calculated as a percentage of the loan facility provided to you by the ‘Loan Provider’. The lump sum is payment by the banks for providing you with mortgage advice related to their products and the ongoing monthly commission (if applicable) is paid to provide you with continued service and support over the term of your mortgage.
